Vitalize Peel
Your skin is always changing – from environmental toxins, stress, sun, and just time marching on. Here at A New Image Cosmetic Laser Center we are proud to offer Vitalize Peel to our community in Claremore, Pryor and Owasso.
This chemical peel from SKINMEDICA stimulates your skin to increase radiance and vibrancy with very minimal downtime.
This peel must be administered by a licensed medical professional (a physician, aesthetician, or nurse under a physician’s supervision).
Individual results can vary, of course, but it is appropriate for mild imperfections of the skin.
WHAT ARE THE KEY BENEFITS OF VITALIZE PEEL?
Results can vary of course, but typically you can expect to see a smoothing of the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as a smoother less rough texture of your skin.
One peel will provide noticeable results but you really see excellent improvement after three to six peels. Depending on your skin issues, 3-6 will be recommended for you.
HERE’S WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT.
Immediately following your treatment, Vitalize Peel can leave a yellowish tinge on the skin which typically disappears within 2-3 hours. You can then expect mild to moderate redness typical of any chemical peel procedure. The amount of redness can vary from one client to another. You may see increased redness for sometime following the procedure. This completely normal and will resolve after the peeling is complete.
WILL I PEEL AFTER RECEIVING A VITALIZE PEEL TREATMENT?
Your skin care professional will provide you with an in-depth evaluation and instructions in post- procedure care. Your recommended post-peel care will include the Skin Medica Sensitive Skin Cleanser or Facial Cleanser and moisturizer best suited to your skin type. You will also be directed to use a dally sunscreen (can be tinted or untainted).
HOW DO CHEMICAL PEELS IMPROVE THE SKIN?
A more uniform looking complexion and renewed, healthier looking skin are the result of accelerated skin exfoliation that result from the chemical substances applied to the skin.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I WILL BENEFIT FROM A SKIN MEDICA VITALIZE PEEL?
SkinMedica chemical peels are available in a range of different strengths from which your licensed medical professional will select to provide an ideal treatment for your skin. Visible skin imperfections resulting from sun exposure and normal skin aging such as fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone and texture are targeted by the chemicals. Peels also improve skin tone unevenness that are caused by acne scarring or pigment are changes.
HOW DO I KNOW WHICH PARTICULAR PEEL WILL BE THE BEST FOR ME?
Your skin care professional will visit with you and evaluate your skin condition. During that consultation she will make a recommendation based on your needs.
AM I A CANDIDATE FOR VITALIZE PEEL IF I HAVE DARK SKIN?
Yes you are. Vitalize Peel is recommended for all skin types.
WILL I RESUME A REGULAR SKIN CARE REGIMEN FOLLOWING THE VITALIZE PEEL?
As soon as you have finished peeling, you can resume your preferred regimen of skin care on a daily basis. Your skin care professional will also help you select daily care products if desired.
HOW WILL I PROTECT MY SKIN FOLLOWING THE VITALIZE PEEL?
It is extremely important to use a broad spectrum sunscreen product with an SPF of 30 or higher as the newly exposed skin is more susceptible to sunburn. It’s is imperative to take extra precautions and limit sun exposure for the week following your procedure.
HOW MIGHT I PREPARE FOR THIS VITALIZE PEEL?
You should avoid any products or procedures that might increase skin sensitivity before your Vitalize Peel treatment. Be sure to ask your physician or skin care specialist for details during your consultation if you have questions.
WHAT RESULTS SHOULD I EXPECT FOLLOWING VITALIZE PEEL?
Following the procedure and final peeling, you will be aware of improvement in the appearance of overall skin condition. This includes softening and the diminished appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, smoothness of skin texture, as well as skin color that is more even and has greater clarity.
HOW FREQUENTLY CAN I HAVE A VITALIZE PEEL PROCEDURE?
The Vitalize Peel treatment can be repeated as often as every 3-4 weeks.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE RECOMMENDED?
That answer depends on your goals and desired results. Based on initial level of skin damage the number of treatments may vary from 3-6. You will see cumulative results over time and that result is enhanced when using SkinMedica daily skin care product regimen for cleansing, moisturizing and sun protection.
SO DURING THE PROCEDURE, WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
You can expect the entire treatment procedure to take approximately 45 minutes. This allows for time to address questions and go over post peel care and recommendations. Applying the peel itself takes about 20 minutes, with tolerance for the treatment varying from client to client. You should expect to experience tingling or mild burning sensations that are quite normal and in fact to be expected. Many people appreciate a small hand held fan that helps to minimize the discomfort which lasts for only a few minute.
WHAT CAN I DO TO GET MAXIMAL AND LASTING RESULTS FROM MY PEEL?
Skin Medica has a skin care line that includes home use products. Your skin care professional will advise you on recommended products for cleansing, moisturizing and sun protection.
ARE THERE ANY SUPPLEMENTS THAT ADDRESS SKIN CARE AND OVERALL AGING?
As always, a good diet with LOTS of fruits and deep green vegetables is vital to skin health as is drinking half your body weight in ounces of water every day. Additionally we offer a Skin Care Beauty Bundle with supplements including Vitamin C, Collagen, and Zinc.
