SIGNATURE FACIAL A TREAT FOR SKIN AND SOLE!
A signature facial treatment is a real treat for the skin and the sole! Pamper yourself here at claremore and Pryor Facial, our non-invasive treatment can be repeated here at A New Image Med Spa as often as one would like. There is no recovery or down time after the treatment, It is pure bliss and promotes healthy skin and relaxation as it decreases stress.
HOW LONG WILL MY FACIAL LAST?
Facials are typically 1 hour appointment time but we also offer an express version with fewer steps. It is good for all skin types, tones and textures and is also a great service for teens as well as they are experiencing break out prone skin.
IS THIS A RELAXING PROCEDURE?
The room setting for your Claremore and Pryor facial is inviting, dimly lit with a calming fragrance of aromatherapy and a soothing heated treatment bed for relaxation. Light meditative sounds are played to relax the mind and body throughout the treatment. The client will lay face up on the bed with hair pulled away from the face, comfortably positioned under a blanket with a bolster placed under the knee to release any lower back tension if desired.
WHAT SKIN CONCERNS ARE ADDRESSED?
Every client has different skin concerns that need to be addressed. Our licensed esthetician at Claremore and Pryor facial is trained to select the proper product to use during the treatment that will focus on and address your individual needs. Before the treatment begins there is discussion regarding your concerns. The esthetician will make notes and prepare the products deemed to be most effective for your skin.
WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE LIKE?
During this appointment time the esthetician will start with the first cleanse and then repeat with an additional cleanse. All products used include a customization of medical grade cleansers and other products used in subsequent steps. Initial cleansing steps address removing surface dirt and makeup. During this time steam is blowing gently onto the face to encourage relaxation and enhanced circulation. Additionally the pores are opening making your skin more receptive to the products. The steam also helps to open pores for extractions done later in the treatment. Next step is a hot towel is placed on the skin to remove the cleansing product. After both cleanses are performed the next step in the facial is exfoliation.
DO YOU EXFOLIATE THE SKIN?
The exfoliation part of the facial is typically a scrub containing a sandy or gritty texture which is intended to buff the top layer of the epidermis leaving the skin polished and bright giving the skin a much smoother look and feel. It also helps to unclog pores and prevent acne. The product is applied and rubbed gently onto the skin in circular motions. The steam continues during this step and again followed by a hot towel for product removal.
WHAT ABOUT EXTRACTIONS?
Extractions are an important part of theClaremore and Pryor facial treatment. The steam continues during this preparation step further encouraging the pores to enlarge and soften. This process removes clogged or compacted pores with additional help of an extractor instrument used to manually press the skin as needed to release any breakouts, blackheads or whiteheads. This step is performed midway through the facial when the skin has been cleaned and buffed and pores have had enough time to soften for any debris to be removed.
TELL ME ABOUT THE MASK USED.
Based on your skin needs being dry, breakout prone, or needing additional exfoliation an appropriate mask is chosen by your Claremore and Pryor facial skin care professional. It is applied with a brush and left on the skin to absorb. There are different types of masks such as gels and clay based. At this point the steam is stopped allowing the mask to sit and penetrate the skin for maximum results. As it sets, the esthetician will perform a light shoulder massage. And the mask is removed with a hot towel.
MASSAGE IS MY FAVORITE!
Toner is important and comes as the next step. Toners have several roles to play as they remove any last traces of dirt and impurities, close down and shrink the pores while restoring your skin’s PH level.
After the toner is applied a gentle facial massage is performed. This might just become your favorite part of the claremore and pryor facial. Upwards and downward motions are used during this process. Massaging the face promotes oxygen and blood flow to the skin and also addresses fluid retention and lymph drainage. and as an added benefit it increases collagen production so that your face looks full and youthful. Deeper pressure is applied to pressure points in the face enhancing the relaxation effects.
WILL SKIN CARE PRODUCTS BE RECOMMENDED FOR MY CONCERNS?
Whatever your face may need to enhance its skin tone and texture, the esthetician will select appropriate moisturizers and sunscreens. Moisturizers maintain your skin’s healthy cells while helping to protect it and can be used both day and night. Following a spa grade moisturizer, a sunscreen will be applied to protect the skin from potential damage caused by the sun. Sunscreens should be applied daily and are only necessary during the daytime. A lip treatment is applied to the final step to help maintain lip moisture.
WHAT CAN I DO TO MAINTAIN MY FRESH REVIVED SKIN?
At a New Image Med Spa Claremore and Pryor facial, high quality skin care products are recommended especially for you and with your lifestyle in mind. Any selected products are explained for ongoing skin health and maintenance. There are many products not used in the facial treatment but offered to target neck, eye areas, and other target concerns. Just ask for our recommendations.
Drinking water is another key to having glowing skin following a facial as well. It is important to drink lots of water afterwards to prevent dehydration and continue to flush out toxins. Eating lots of brightly colored fruits and veggies is extremely valuable as well.
